Hunt LNG Operating Company operates the first and only LNG plant in South America and its 408 km gas pipeline which runs across the Peruvian Andes to central coast of Peru. The company's main activity is to maintain and process natural gas and transform it into liquefied natural gas. This plant is owned by PERU LNG in which Hunt Oil Company has 50% of shares, and it is operated surpassing the highest national and international standards of best practices in technical, safety, social and environmental aspects.
Hunt Oil Exploration and Production Company of Peru LLC is currently the operator of Block 76, where the Wandari project develops (in the regions of Madre de Dios and Cusco) in a framework of respect for the environment and communities, applying environmental, social and technology standards that minimize potential impacts on the area.
**The Wandari project (whose name means "good earth" in language Harakmbut) is currently under exploration for the purpose of determining the existence of probable natural gas reserves in the region Madre de Dios.
